I'm part of a four-person team behind Side Effects, a darkly funny card game about self-medication. We were first runner-up for SXSW's Gamer's Voice Award in 2019.
We launched Side Effects in 2017 on Kickstarter and surpassed our funding goal by 678% to raise $81,426 in one month. I make our marketing materials, handle our video set designs, and write our copy.
The colorful "pills" on the left pull apart to reveal a rolled-up fortune and our instagram and/or booth number. We distribute these at game conventions by whispering "pssst..." to attendees and asking if they want to see the future.
We're currently developing a new game.
